♦    Advantage of the inflatable tubes is that they give considerable height for low weight and can easily be packed away during hot weather or for relocation elsewhere.  The tube system can be adapted to cover decked and split-level sites, as frequently encountered with above-ground pools and swim-spas. Covers can be made from poly-tunnel polyethylene, pvc, or polyurethane. We have developed a 250 micron transparent u.v. protected p.u. (ester)  material in 3m widths ideal for the cover material. Entry can be made by way of a real doorway or a zipped opening. The door frame can be supplied with props to suit the application, and secured with bolts and/or jumbo sized stainless steel spikes.

Pleasure-Dome is a flexible, pack-away, free-standing enclosure system, designed to extend the swimming season and add security to the swimming environment. It is easy and quick to set up. The stands and door should ideally be pegged or bolted to the ground, but once that is done the tubes just slip into the rings on the stands. A cover is pulled over the tubes and the tubes inflated.  Tailored covers have a tensioning line by which they can be stretched and securely attached to the base plate of the stand

The bottom of the cover is secured by water bags, and may also be pegged to the ground.

 The structure naturally absorbs wind load because of its flexible structure. It is not attached to the pool and therefore cannot harm the pool structure. On the contrary it shelters the pool and helps retain heat in the pool.

Anticipated retail cost of this sort of structure around £3,000 to £4,000 but because the plastics materials are specially made in large batches we would require advance orders of a dozen or more models to go into production.  This product would be virtually unique at this price level for covering above ground pools and spas. Pleasure-Dome ® on a (very) wet day in May

Home-Made solutions can work very well. This was our first prototype, spanning over a 12 foot Doughboy and Deck. The cover material is just polythene available from Allplaz.com in virtually any width, and the prototype door was borrowed from a motor caravan. It worked very well all winter. Tubes are now specially made from continuously extruded white polyurethane, and doors are specially made in UPVC in an aluminium box frame.
